Miss Universe Philippines & The Miss Philippines Queens Celebrate LGBTQIA+ Love
MISS UNIVERSE PHILIPPINES – The Miss Universe Philippines and Miss Philippines queens came together in a powerful show of support to kick off Pride Month 2025.
June kicked off with a vibrant celebration as Miss Universe Philippines (MUPH) and The Miss Philippines queens came together in full support of the LGBTQIA+ community for Pride Month 2025. The gathering, filled with solidarity and color, was part of Pride Night 2025 hosted by LoveYourself Inc., held on June 1 and highlighted across MUPH’s official Instagram.
Among the attendees were prominent Miss Universe Philippines titleholders, including Ahtisa Manalo, reigning MUPH 2025 queen; Pia Wurtzbach, Miss Universe 2015; and 2024 runners-up Winwyn Marquez and Yllana Aduana. Their presence underscored the pageant’s ongoing advocacy for inclusivity, equality, and love in all its forms.

Joining them in celebration were their sisters from The Miss Philippines franchise—The Miss Philippines-Supranational 2026 Ma. Katrina Llegado, The Miss Philippines-Cosmo 2025 Chelsea Fernandez, and The Miss Philippines-Eco International 2026 Gabriella Mai Carballo. Together, they created a united front that showcased the evolving role of beauty queens as champions for meaningful causes.
In a powerful reaffirmation of their commitment, MUPH shared a heartfelt message online:
“Miss Universe Philippines proudly stands with the LGBTQIA+ community in celebrating Pride Month,” it stated. “We honor the strength found in diversity, the beauty of self-expression, and the right to love freely. In a world we continue to shape with compassion and equality, we lead with one message: Love above all.”
Manalo, known for her authenticity and advocacy, also opened up about her personal connection with the LGBTQIA+ community.
“I’m really strong when it comes to gender equality. I call out someone who is being homophobic, and that’s what I’m strong about,” she shared. “I have family members who are gay, and I have a lot of friends who are gay also, my mentors, my friends, my supporters, I’m surrounded by gay people and the LGBT community.”
As Pride Month unfolds, the MUPH and The Miss Philippines queens continue to inspire by using their platforms to uplift, empower, and champion love and equality for all.
