The death of ’90s actor Red Sternberg broke the hearts of his co-stars in T.G.I.S.
RED STERNBERG DEATH – The T.G.I.S. actor passed away on the morning of May 27th, and his co-stars mourned over his death.
Former T.G.I.S. actor Red Sternberg passed away on Tuesday, May 27, at the age of 50. This was confirmed by his wife, Sandy, in a Facebook post on Friday, May 30. He is supposed to turn 51 on May 30.
“It is hard to find the words right now to say that this has been the most difficult time I have ever gone through my whole life,” Sandy wrote.
“To be greeted ‘happy birthday’ and ‘sorry for your loss’ at the same time three consecutive days of what was supposed to be a celebration full of birthdays. May was our month! 5th, 28th, 29th and 30th,” she added.
He was known for his role in T.G.I.S. along with other actors like Angelu de Leon, Bobby Andrews, Onemig Bondoc, Rica Peralejo, Michael Flores, Ciara Sotto, Bernadette Allyson, and Raven Villanueva. To recall, the show aired from 1995 until 1999.
With his death, some of his co-stars expressed sadness.
Angelu de Leon was peachy in the program, and in a post, she wrote his name “Kiko” with three broken hearts.
Rica Peralejo also re-shared the post about his death, and in the caption, she wrote, “Super sad [crying emoji] Ofc Red is Michelle’s Kiko and we will always be good friends! Our entire barkada is devastated.”

Michael Flores, Onemig Bondoc, Ciara Sotto, and Bernadette Allyson were also emotional as they bade farewell to their “barkada.” Filmmaker Mark Reyes also expressed that the whole T.G.I.S. barkada is heartbroken to lose one of their own.
“T.G.I.S” is also known as “Thank God It’s Sabado,” a popular 1995 drama on GMA.
