Negros Occidental 3rd District Representative Javi Benitez shared this post amid the recent controversy involving his father Bacolod City Lone District Representative Albee Benitez.
Javi followed his father’s footsteps in politics after having his short stint in the entertainment industry. The young politician first served as Mayor of Victorias City and he decided to run for congressman in the 2025 elections.
Although Javi has been away from the entertainment industry for quite a while, his name was still entangled in showbiz issues, especially when rumors surfaced about his breakup with actress Sue Ramirez.
Eventually, Javi Benitez confirmed their breakup in a statement released to the public. Sue Ramirez is currently in a relationship with digital creator Dominic Roque.
After the breakup, there had been no female personalities linked to Javi but his family’s name became a trending topic on social media. It was because of his mother’s complaint affidavit accusing his father of violating RA 9262 or the Anti-Violence Against Women and their Children Act of 2004.
In the complaint affidavit, Nikki Benitez accused Albee Benitez of being the father of Daisy Reyes and Andrea del Rosario’s daughters, and that he is having an illicit affair with Ivana Alawi.
In a statement released by the Bacolod Representative through his legal counsel, he debunked the accusations against him and said that involving Ivana in this issue was “unsettling.”
As of this writing, the women who were mentioned in Nikki’s complaint affidavit haven’t released a statement yet. Javi Benitez has not said anything also regarding this issue, for now. However, netizens noticed what he posted on his Instagram Story amid his father’s controversy.
