Job Applicant Brings Good Vibes on Social Media After Being Fed During Online Interview
A male job applicant goes viral and brings laughter online after being fed in the middle of his online interview.
Recently, TheFunTita, a Reddit user, shared her encounter with a male job applicant being fed during an online interview. The social media users expressed their reactions from the online community.
During a scheduled online job interview, everything seemed normal at first. The applicant was calm, slightly nervous, but able to answer questions confidently. The interview had reached a serious point where the applicant was discussing technical details.
However, a hand appeared on the screen holding a spoon filled with rice and food, aiming straight for the applicant’s mouth. The applicant froze, mouth open, unsure whether to take the bite or continue talking.
For a couple of seconds, it was like a silent comedy skit, as both the interviewer and the applicant paused in disbelief. The person feeding him is likely a family member, didn’t realize he was in a job interview.
The applicant gently pushed the hand away while his eyes stayed glued to the spoon, probably thinking the food looked delicious. Despite the interruption, he continued answering as if nothing happened.

There was no apology needed. Instead, both the applicant and the interviewer shared a laugh at the end of the session.

“Hindi ko na alam kung tatawa ako o magpapanic nung nangyare to.
So I require my candidates to turn their cameras on for the interview. Nasa email reminder din yun. Eto na nga may inintrview ako. Okay naman sa simula, chill lang si kuya, may konting kaba pero nakakasagot naman… UNTIL IT HAPPENED.
Nasa kalagitnaan kami ng behavioral/technical interview, sobrang seryoso na sha kakaexplain ng mga bagay bagay. Eh biglang may kutsara na umeksena sa frame. Like, literal na may kamay na sumulpot sa gilid ng screen, hawak ang kutsara, may kanin at ulam, diretso sa bibig ni kuya!
Napahinto si Kuya. As in, natulala siya. Nakabukas pa nga yung bibig niya pero hindi niya malaman kung susubo ba siya o sasagot muna. Mga 2 seconds na intense staring contest kami ni kuya. While Ako sa kabilang screen, trying not to laugh or cry. Tapos umiling si kuya. Parang may silent convo sila ni Ate sa background: “Wag muna, may kausap ako eh.” Pero halata mong may lungkot din na “Sana di nangyare yun” or “Sayang, mukhang masarap ‘yung ulam.” Eto ung malupit, di nagets ni Ate, nigalaw lang nya ung spoon na para bang isusubo nga niya kasi. Buti mabilis si kuya. Dun na hinawakan ni kuya ung kamay ni Ate away from him while nakatingin sa laman ng kutsara.
Di sha nagsorry about it and Kunyare din I didn’t mind, tuloy nalang sa pagsagot and explain. Nung paend na ung interview nanghingi sha ng feedback, so shempre un ung pinagusapan namin. We both ended up laughing so hard.
So kung nasa bahay kayo at may naka-video call for work or naka suot na ng headset or pagalam nyong nasa work station please lang, dahan dahan lang din sa mga personal stuff. At sana walang makaexperience sa inyo ng live feeding sa kalagitnaan ng interview para masarap pa rin ulam nyo kinabukasan!”
