Who heeded the order of courtesy resignation from President Bongbong Marcos?
These department secretaries were ordered by President Bongbong Marcos to resign, and this is for this reason.
Early Thursday of May 22, President Bongbong Marcos called for the “courtesy resignation of all Cabinet secretaries,” and according to him, this move will help him weed out corrupt and lazy officials from the government – a “decisive move to recalibrate his administration following the results of the recent elections.”

In the Halalan 2025, not even half of Marcos’ anointed Senate bets won seats. As quoted, this is accordingly the time when the government finally realigns to the expectations of the people.
The president said, “This is not about personalities — it’s about performance, alignment, and urgency….Those who have delivered and continue to deliver will be recognized. But we cannot afford to be complacent. The time for comfort zones is over.”
DepEd Secretary Sonny Angara has already submitted his resignation and thanked Marcos for the opportunity. Several Cabinet officials have promptly responded to the call.
