Cousins Beaten by Group After Refusing Suspicious Offer in Roxas City
Two cousins in Roxas City were beaten by a group of several individual and LGBT members due to misunderstanding.
On Wednesday (May 21, 2025), two men were injured after being attacked by a group of individuals, including members of the LGBTQ+ community, in Roxas City. The incident happened along Taft Street in Barangay III.
The victims identified only as “Chok,” 17, and “Bugoy,” 23, both residents of Inzo Arnaldo Village, went to the Roxas City Police Station to report the assault.

According to Chok, the trouble began when they refused an offer from a person named “Gaston,” who allegedly proposed a suspicious trade involving an unknown item referred to as “1/4,” possibly in exchange for intimate acts.
Chok explained that he and Bugoy were on their way to pick up belongings from a relative at Roxas Memorial Provincial Hospital. While waiting for transportation near a department store, they noticed Gaston on a motorcycle.
After a few moments, another man approached and appeared to hand something over before riding away.
Gaston then allegedly offered the two young men the so-called “1/4.” Chok refused and said they would report it to authorities. This upset Gaston, who reportedly pushed Bugoy with his motorcycle, causing him to fall and get hurt.
Despite his injuries, Bugoy managed to grab Gaston, which led to the motorcycle falling over. Gaston fled, leaving his motorcycle behind.
A person named “Bes” arrived to retrieve the motorcycle but was stopped by Chok. Later, a tricycle carrying two more members of the group and three unknown men arrived. Chok tried to run but was caught and beaten by several attackers, including Gaston.
Bugoy ran for help, and when a security guard arrived, the group escaped, leaving the motorcycle behind. Police now have the vehicle and are continuing their investigation.
