In a Facebook post, Karen Lopez releases statements.
VMX star Karen Lopez, the “missing” actress, surfaces on Facebook, and in a post, she released a statement explaining her disappearance.
Previously, VMX actress Karen Lopez was reported to be missing. She was not able to attend the last shooting day of her movie Maalikaya, which also features Jenn Rosa, Aliya Raymundo, Izza Watanabe, and Sheena Cole.
With Lopez missing and absent on the last day of the shooting, the story has to be changed, according to the director. She has been missing for days and has not reached out to her family or her manager, Lito de Guzman.
“Nakita sa CCTV na sinundo siya ng boyfriend niya. Sinabi rin ng security guard ng condo na may sumundo sa kanya,” Direk Roman shared.
Over a week since she’s been “missing,” she surfaced on social media with a statement explaining her disappearance. She apologized and expressed that she only needed a rest and to focus on herself. She was burdened emotionally and mentally, and realized that she had to prioritize her well-being, and that included stepping back.
She added, “Alam kong may ilan sa inyo ang nag-alala o nagtaka, at sobrang na-appreciate ko ang messages at support ninyo. Slowly, I’m getting better and trying to comeback stronger, one step at a time. Salamat sa mga nakaintindi, sa mga nag-reach out, at sa mga patuloy na nandyan.”

The post came hours after the Quezon City Police District (QCPD) stated that they have yet to receive any official report regarding the disappearance of the actress. The family has not filed any formal report or complaint. The authorities also urged Lopez’s family or anyone who has the information to step up and report to their offices.
