Angeli Khang is the newest addition to the Kapamilya primetime action series
Sultry actress Angeli Khang talked about being part of the Kapamilya primetime action series Batang Quiapo led by action star Coco Martin.
Angeli is known as a Vivamax star. She rose to fame as one of the actresses featured in sultry movies released on Viva’s online streaming platform. From being a Vivamax star, she was able to transition to mainstream media.
One of her latest stints is in Batang Quiapo. Aside from Angeli, veteran actor Leo Martinez is also a new addition to the series.
A social media post showed the behind-the-scenes of Angeli Khang and Leo Martinez’s first day on set, based on the article in ABS-CBN News. In the series, Leo portrays the character of businessman Mr. Kwon, who enters into a deal with the Montenegro family and they seem to get along well.
He came with his granddaughter and heiress, Veronica, the character played by Angeli. The sneak peek showed that Tanggol, Coco Martin’s character was delighted upon seeing Veronica. This gave anticipation to the viewers that a connection between the two characters will grow deeper in the next episodes. However, as Batang Quiapo is known for its twists and turns, the viewers may think if the two new character can really be trusted by Tanggol.
In an interview, Angeli Khang expressed happiness to be part of Coco Martin’s teleserye. She was excited to do her first scene and she hoped she did well.
Angeli also shared that it has been a dream come true for her to be part of the Kapamilya series. “Sabi ko, ‘Sana mapasok ako dito, and yes, nandito na ako ngayon.'”
Meanwhile, in a previous interview, being the Vivamax Queen, she will not totally turn her back from doing movies for the online platform even though she has mainstream projects.
