Luis Manzano Speaks About Election Loss

This is what Luis Manzano said after losing in Halalan 2025.

Kapamilya host Luis Manzano lost in his vice gubernatorial bid, and here’s what he said about his loss.

Dodo Mandanas is a political fixture in Batangas, and is now its new vice governor, spoiling the triple win scenario for Vilma Santos and her sons, Luis Manzano and Ryan Recto.

Vilma and Ryan won in the gubernatorial and congressional races, respectively; however, Luis failed and has found it difficult to defeat the political fixture. Based on partial, unofficial results from the Commission on Elections as of May 14, Mandanas now has 804,225 votes and Manzano has 552,044 votes.

With the big difference in figures and a clear win for Mandanas, Manzano accepted his defeat in his first attempt to penetrate politics, and despite the loss, he still considers himself a winner. According to him, this is just the start of his journey with the Batangueños.

“My fellow Batangueños, we may not have won the elections but I am still a winner because of you. I felt the heart of Batangas in your smiles, stories, and hugs during the campaign,” he said.

He thanked his supporters, family, and God for guiding him in this journey. He added that the campaign was lively and joyful because of the people. Manzano said the election is just the beginning of his relationship with his kababayan in Batangas.

“Masigla at napakasaya ng kampanya dahil nakasama ko kayo. At kahit tapos na ang eleksyon, ito ay umpisa pa lamang ng matagal pa nating pagsasamahan,” he added.

Meanwhile, his wife, Jessy Mendiola, previously expressed her unwavering support for her husband as he trails the ongoing vote count for Batangas vice governor. She is proud of him.
