John Arcilla shared what he saw during the election day
Award-winning actor John Arcilla pointed out the result of Filipinos’ decision to vote for the wrong candidates.
John is among the many celebrities who openly talk about their political views. He has openly endorsed certain politicians in the 2025 elections, like senatorial candidates Kiko Pangilinan and Bam Aquino.
Based on the latest initial and partial results, Aquino is in the number two position while Pangilinan is in number five. Previously, John fired back at people who bashed him for campaigning for Aquino and Pangilinan.
On May 12, the election day, John Arcilla shared photos of a dilapidated classroom table. In his Facebook post, the award-winning said that this is evidence that Filipinos chose the wrong leaders.
“So nandito ako sa loob ng isang classroom na ginawang WAITING ROOM sa MAHABANG PILA para bumoto at ganito and lamesa ng mga estudyante sa loob ng classroom,” he wrote.
It can be seen in the photos he shared that it was an old table and some parts were already damaged. With this, John had this striking question, “Asan ang budget sa EDUKASYON?”
Then, he pointed out that despite this kind of condition, people would still vote for corrupt politicians.
“Tapos boboto tayo ng mga corrupt eh nakaharap mismo satin ang EBIDENDYA NG MGA MALI NATING PAGPILI?” the actor stressed. With this, he encouraged the public to vote wisely.
This was shared on a popular showbiz site and many netizens agreed with what John Arcilla said. A netizen commented that there should be no political dynasty. Another netizen thanked him for pointing this out.
However, a netizen stressed that this has been the situation for many years and it seemed that the actor is “out of touch with reality.”
