A month-long voting period was set ahead for the overseas Filipino workers (OFWs). With regards to the election, the elderly and the persons with disabilities (PWDs) were given the earliest schedule for voting. Senator Cynthia Villar who is a candidate in Las Piñas commended that the voting is “efficient” and the senior citizens were prioritized.

However, amid the efficient and organized elections in some areas in the Philippines, there were also several reports about complaints with regards to questionable incidents during the election.

In the post, it is stated that the kins of the elderly voters must be the ones to assist them in shading their votes. The specific location was not mentioned but the same video clip circulated online and gained different reactions from the online community.

In the same video clips of poll watchers shading the ballots that circulated online, there were netizens who insisted that as their job suggests, they should only watch over the election process and shading the ballots for the voters is allegedly not their job.

Unfortunately, aside from the said questionable incident during the elections, there are also unfortunate incidents that left lives at risk. Two people were left dead by a shooting incident in Silay City, Negros Occidental on Election day.
