Jonathan Manalo shared a post defending BINI
Nation’s Girl Group BINI was defended by ABS-CBN Music Creative Director Jonathan Manalo amid the recent issue involving three members, Jhoanna, Stacey, and Colet.
The P-pop group handled by ABS-CBN is one of the fast-rising groups that has started penetrating the international music scene. They are composed of eight members which came from the media company’s Star Hunt.
Just recently, three of the members became a trending topic on social media because of a leaked controversial video that also involved GAT members Ethan David and Shawn Castro.
Netizens criticized the girls for apparently making fun of a serious situation involving a supposed minor. BINI issued an apology statement. The GAT’s members also apologized.
Amid the issue, Blooms, the fans of the Nation’s Girl Group, had polarizing comments regarding the issue. In a recent Facebook, songwriter/composer Jonathan Manalo defended the P-pop group.
Jonathan said that no one is perfect and it is difficult to live a life before the public’s eyes. “There’s often no room for mistakes – but being faultless is humanly impossible,” he stressed.
With this, he encouraged the public not to criticize or condemn and reminded people that people become who they are because of their missteps. He also pointed out that judgment should not come after a single episode of life because everyone somehow went through low moments in their lives.
“So please, be more compassionate,” the ABS-CBN Music creative director said. Jonathan also stressed that the important thing is how one would rise and grow from that experience, and become a better person.
For him, the real role model is going through “falling, learning, and rising.” “I’ve seen the kindness and genuine character of the BINI girls with my own eyes. They’re the real deal – and I’ll always be cheering them on with all my heart,” Jonathan Manalo said.
