Senatorial Candidate Willie Revillame Asked about Job of Senator
WILLIE REVILLAME – The senatorial candidate emphasized that there are already a lot of existing laws in the Philippines.
It is not strange in the Philippines for popular individuals in other fields to join politics. Thus, countless Filipino were not anymore surprised when Willie filed his bid for senator in the May 2025 Elections.

Willie Revillame who previously said that his platform is to help the poor and not steal the people’s money is running as an independent candidate in the upcoming elections. Prior to it, he claimed that he has no platform as he has been helping poor Filipinos for 27 years already.
According to Willie, helping the poor does not require platform. He called on the Filipino people to vote for the candidates who are already serving the people and who will change their lives.

Willie Revillame previously claimed that there were already people urging him to run for a position in the government before but he was not yet ready then. He stressed that he realized that it is now time for him to find a way to help the poor people.

In a previous interview with Gretchen Ho that was posted on social media, Willie who is one of the most popular game show hosts in the Philippine showbiz industry was asked about his hosting career. According to him, based on what he has heard, there are still days when he can do his shows.
“‘Di ba sa Senate what I heard is Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, ‘di ba? So meron akong Thursday, Friday, Saturday sa show, like Senator Sotto. ‘Di ba may Eat Bulaga pa rin siya?” he expressed.
The host said that he needs to read some bills and if he will do shows on the other days, there might be days when he will not be around in the Senate. He was also asked about the legislative work of the senators.
“Alam mo ‘yung bills na ‘yan, ang dami ng batas na ginawa, eh. Nabago ba ‘yung buhay ng mahihirap?” Willie said.
Based on the post, Gretchen Ho insisted that a senator’s work is really legislative. Willie Revillame expressed his stance on the job of public servants.
“Para saan? Para sa bansa? Eh, ang dami na ngang batas ang ginawa. Eh, ano bang trabaho natin? ‘Di ba dapat gumawa ng mabuti sa kapwa? Kaya ka nga public servant, eh,” he said.
Amid the election season, Senator Alan Peter Cayetano commended Willie Revillame’s 20 years of service to the Filipino people.
