Duterte’s Partner Honeylet Avanceña Joins PDP-Laban Campaign Rally
HONEYLET AVANCEÑA – The long-time partner of former President Rodrigo Roa Duterte claimed that he loved the Filipinos and the country more than his own family.
The Duterte siblings are on a full force in campaigning for the PDP-Laban bets in the May 2025 Elections. Vice Pres. Sara Duterte has been joining several campaign sorties in the different provinces around the country to endorse the #Duter10.

Kitty Duterte, the youngest among the Duterte siblings, even joined the campaign rally of the PDP-Laban. According to her, what pushed her to take a part in the campaign is because her father was taken away from her and from the Filipino people.
In fact, aside from the children of former Pres. Rodrigo Roa Duterte, his long-time partner, Honeylet Avanceña, also joined the campaign rallies of the PDP-Laban. She and Kitty have visited Duterte in The Hague and celebrated with him during the former President’s 80th birthday last March 28.

Honeylet Avanceña and former Pres. Rodrigo Roa Duterte were already together long before he became the Chief Executive of the country. She previously admitted that she was against his decision to run for the presidency in 2016 but, later on, was convinced when she saw the support of the Filipino people.

Recently, at the campaign rally of the PDP-Laban, Honeylet Avanceña spoke to the crowd claiming her belief that former Pres. Rodrigo Duterte loved the Filipino people and the country more than he loved his own family. According to her, Duterte can be accused of anything including being fond of women but his patriotism can never be questioned.
“Maibintang niyo na lahat. Babaero diba? Pero ‘yan patriotism hindi mo maano ‘yan sa kanya. In fact, pwede kong sabihin pa, mas minahal pa niya kayo, ang bansa, kaysa sa amin kasi hindi niya inantala ang ano, eh, ang family… na ma-ano ba ang pamilya,” she said.

According to Honeylet, former Pres. Duterte did not think about his own family when he issued warnings against corrupt officials as well as those who are in the drug trade. She stressed that what the former President was thinking was the safety of the Filipino youth who can go out and return safe to their homes.
“Hindi niya inisip, Ma’am, na meron palang siyang anak, meron siyang apo. Nag-warning siya sa korap, nag-warning siya sa druglord, wala kami sa isip. Ang iniisip niya ang anak ng bawat Pilipino,” Honeylet said based on the post.
At a campaign rally, Honeylet Avanceña called on the Filipinos to make good decisions by choosing good and honest people who will serve the country and not their personal interests.
