This is what VP Sara Duterte said to the allegations involving her brother.
Paolo Duterte allegedly assaulted someone, and according to VP Sara Duterte, the allegation is an attack on their family.
Davao City Representative Paolo “Pulong” Duterte is allegedly involved in an altercation that occurred at a bar in Davao City. The CCTV recording of Duterte surfaced online, but the Philippine National Police (PNP) maintained that they are not the source of the video circulating online.

A complaint was filed against the politician by 37-year-old businessman Kristone Patria. The businessman accused Duterte of physical injuries and grave threats. The incident happened on February 23, as per the investigation data form.
In the recording, Duterte was seen raising his fist at another man, and a sharp object was also spotted in one hand. The video, however, is yet to be verified by the PNP-Criminal Investigation and Detection Group (PNP-CIDG).
Regarding the allegations he was dragged into, his sister, Vice President Sara Duterte, reacted to it, dismissing what he was accused of. She has already seen a portion of the video, and she has yet to talk with her brother.
For her, it was a good thing that the video surfaced ahead of the election, as this would give people a clear idea of whom to choose. It was clearly an attack to destroy a person, and she said, “As I said, iyon yung good thing about it pero, it’s really a political attack.”
The second-in-command also alleged that this could be something the current administration has orchestrated to campaign against their family.
“Masyadong klaro iyong pattern ng administration na kapag mayroon silang kapalpakan, ay inililihis nila ang issue at iyong istorya doon sa pagpunta sa pag-atake sa kalaban sa pulitika… Isa iyon sa mga strategy ng national na pabagsakin iyong pamilya namin,” she said.
