According to Malia’s aunt who is the sister of her father, Cynthia looked for her husband as she has been transferred to the recovery room. He already told her about what happened to their daughter.

Malia’s aunt further expressed that Cynthia already had a hint on what happened to her four-year-old daughter. She was still conscious inside the ambulance when she heard the scream of her husband who was told about their daughter’s unfortunate fate.

During the interview, the aunt of the child victim of the NAIA Terminal 1 accident said she does not know about the reaction of Cynthia when she was told about Malia’s death but she is currently with her husband. According to her, they are already finding ways for her discharge from the hospital as she really wants to see her daughter. She stressed that Cynthia’s condition is fine now.

“Okay na daw po. Nakakausap at nakakain na. Sabay silang kumain nung kapatid ko… No’ng first day pa lang sinabi na niya sa kapatid ko na, ‘Bakit wala siya dito sa ospital?’ So ang sinabi na lang po namin kasama siya no’ng kapatid ko. Pero hindi niya alam kung anong lagay ni Malia,” she said.

The bollard was cited as one of the reasons that allegedly paved the way for the accident. Instead of stopping the vehicle, it was removed by the SUV that rammed the people. Malacañang said Pres. Bongbong Marcos already issued the investigation of the bollards at NAIA.
