Michelle Dee is proud of Winwyn Marquez
Kapuso beauty queen Michelle Dee talked about the Miss Universe Philippines 2025 performance of her cousin beauty queen-actress Winwyn Marquez.
Michelle was the Miss Universe Philippines 2023. Two tears after that, Winwyn returned to the pageant stage and joined this year’s MUPH pageant. Michelle and Winwyn are close to each other and they have been very supportive of each other’s endeavors.
Even though Winwyn did not win the title as she was hailed as MUPH 2025 first runner-up, Michelle is still proud of her cousin’s performance.
In a recent interview on Fast Talk with Boy Abunda, based on the article in GMA Entertainment, Michelle Dee expressed what she felt about Winwyn Marquez’s performance. “I loved it. I’m so proud of her,” the daughter of Melanie Marquez said.
She also shared the advice she had for Winwyn. “I really told her, ‘Winwyn, you have to have the mindset. You really have to have the mental fortitude…’ I knew her heart was in the right place,” Michelle said.
Meanwhile, aside from being a beauty queen and an actress, Michelle Dee is also now a recording artist. She recently released her song Reyna.
When asked why she did not perform the song during the MUPH 2025 coronation night, she said, that she would have loved to perform the song because Miss Universe is her home and it is a platform. However, Michelle pointed out that MUPH has its reasons and the organization was not trying to offend her or anything.
“The show went on a different direction,” the Kapuso beauty queen added. She also expressed excitement for Miss Universe Philippines 2025 Ahtisa Manalo’s journey, especially since the international pageant is set to be held in Thailand. For her, there’s extra excitement if a country in Asia hosts the pageant.
