Grieving Father of Girl Died in NAIA SUV Accident Speaks Out
The grieving father of the four-year-old girl who tragically died in NAIA SUV accident finally breaks his silence.
Recently, Danmark Magsongsong, an Overseas Filipino Worker (OFW), has shared his heartbreak with the public after his beloved daughter died after being hit by an SUV at Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) Terminal 1.
Magsongsong came home to a heartbreaking reality that his daughter, Malia was gone. He is working abroad to give his family a better life and a brighter future. “Kaya po ako nag-iibang bansa para po sa kanilang dalawa tapos ganun po mangyayari,” he said.

The grieving father recalled how his daughter had been excited about the idea of him taking her to school, something he had never done before due to his work overseas.
Malia had looked forward to simple moments with her father, just like her classmates whose dads regularly dropped them off. Sadly, those dreams were cut short.
“Ang sabi niya sa akin, ‘Daddy, ikaw na maghahatid sa school sa akin’, kasi ‘di ko pa nahahatid sa school ‘yan kasi lagi ako nasa ibang bansa, kaya gusto niya maranasan din ‘yun kasi mga classmate niya laging nandun ang daddy nila,” he added.
At the time of the incident, Danmark’s wife had not yet been told about their daughter’s death.

The driver of the SUV, Leo Gonzales, is currently facing several charges. He claimed the crash was an accident, saying he mistakenly hit the accelerator instead of the brake. Despite this explanation, Magsongsong is asking for justice and wants the driver to be held fully accountable for his actions.
The social media users expressed their reactions to his statement:
