Dominic Roque put a halt in his acting career
Actor-turned-digital creator Dominic Roque revealed the reason why he has stopped accepting acting projects since 2018.
Dominic was among the teen stars of his generation. He did several acting stints under ABS-CBN. However, he decided to stop and shift to another field and he also established his own business.
He started being inactive in doing acting projects almost eight years ago. However, his name and his presence on social media are still noticeable.
In a recent interview, based on the article in Manila Bulletin, Dominic Roque was asked about his decision to put his acting career in the backseat. This was a conscious effort for him because he wanted to have another career path.
“Since 2018, hindi na po ako tumatanggap ng trabaho sa showbiz kasi nagta transition na po ako to being a social media influencer. So ang trabaho ko na po ngayon is being mainly on social media,” he shared.
The boyfriend of actress Sue Ramirez also shared that he now has his own company dealing with the digital creatives aspect.
However, Dominic said that he is not totally closing his doors to acting because this was where he started. He said that his acting career is not his priority right now.
Meanwhile, in the same interview, Dominic Roque also talked about the current status of his love life. He shared that he and Sue Ramirez were sort of collaborating already since they would go together car camping, travel abroad, and motorcycle rides.
Aside from trying different foods and traveling, Dominic shared that he and Sue also love binge-watching series and movies together. The actor-turned-digital creator also shared that it was fun introducing Sue to his family and most of his friends.
Dominic said that his loved ones were happy to know Sue and she was able to bond with them. He also shared that he and Sue have been planning together what they want to do abroad and their local trips.
