Senatorial Candidate Willie Revillame Speaks about his ‘Simple Platform’
WILLIE REVILLAME – The Filipino game show host who is now a senatorial candidate talked about his “platform” in his bid for a Senate seat.
Several popular individuals in showbiz and business fields are running for senator in the upcoming 2025 Elections. Willie is one of them and the popular game show host is running as an independent candidate for a seat in the Senate.
Willie or also popularly called as “Kuya Wil” has hosted several hit game shows in the Philippine entertainment industry including the prominent shows Wowowee, Wil to Win, and Wowowin among others.
Undeniably, there are different reactions on celebrities in politics and Willie Revillame is one of those who reacted to the opinions of bashers. Recently, he also emphasized his main pursuits in case he wins the May 2025 Midterm Polls.
Based on a report on GMA News, Willie Revillame expressed during his campaign sortie in San Jose, Nueva Ecija that he has simple goals in case he wins the upcoming elections. Prior to mentioning his “platforms”, he claimed that he has been helping poor Filipinos for more than two (2) decades already without a platform.
“Simple lang ang gusto natin, wala tayong plataporma. Jusko 27 years na akong tumutulong sa mahihirap wala pang plataporma. Ang plataporma ay tumulong sa mahihirap at hindi magnakaw,” Revillame said.
Based on the report, Willie Revillame claimed that he will find a way to solve the pressing issues in the Philippines like the national budget and the lack of unity if he wins as senator in the upcoming polls. He stressed that the country will not succeed if the leaders are fighting.
“Hindi pwede yung ganito na nag-aaway away mga leaders natin,” he said.
At the campaign sortie in Nueva Ecija, Revillame gave away tshirts and blue jackets. The latter is given to elderly individuals so it can serve as a blanket. His next campaign sortie will be in Laguna.
