Customer Receives Outdated Bills as Change from Tricycle Driver
A customer expressed his disappointment after failing to buy a toy with outdated paper bills given as change by a tricycle driver.

Recently, Rose Marcel Cadano Colastre, a Facebook user, shared a photo of outdated paper bills given by a tricycle driver as change to his passenger. The post garnered various reactions from the online community.
According to Rose, the customer from Cauayan, Negros Occidental went to the market hoping to buy rice and a toy for their child. However, when it was time to pay, the store could not accept the cash.
All the money the customer had was made up of old peso bills that are no longer accepted. The customer explained that the bills came from a tricycle driver, who had given them as change during a recent ride.
The incident upset many online, with people expressing anger and sympathy. Some believed the tricycle driver intentionally took advantage of the passenger, knowing the bills were outdated. Others felt sad for the customer, who clearly had no idea that the money was no longer valid.
The customer even tried to exchange the old bills at a bank, but was told that the last day to do so had passed in 2021. It left them with no choice but to leave the store empty-handed and heartbroken.
According to Colastre, the tricycle was red, and the driver wore a black bonnet. The incident reminds the public to always check our bills and to be fair and honest, especially toward people who are simply trying to provide for their families.
