Claudine Barretto will have a project with Darryl Yap
Optimum Star Claudine Barretto expressed excitement to play Vice President Sara Duterte in a still unannounced project.
Claudine is a superstar in her own right. At an early age, she already portrayed various roles and over the years, she proved her acting caliber. The acting recognition and awards given to her are proof of how she values her craft.
Among her latest acting projects is the Viva One series Avenues of the Diamond in which she plays the character of Selene Vera. This series featured newbie actress Aubrey Caraan who admitted that she felt intimidated doing scenes with the prominent actress.
In a recent Facebook post, Claudine Barretto hinted at an upcoming project with controversial director Darryl Yap who shared a screenshot of their conversation.
It showed that Direk Darryl asked Claudine if she was ready to become “Inday Sara” which is the nickname of Vice President Sara Duterte.
Claudine’s reply was “SARA FOREVER.” She also expressed that she was emotional about this and she thanked the director. The Optimum Star added that she can’t wait to work with the director.
Direk Darryl posted this on his Facebook account with the caption, “Mananapak na [oncoming fist emoji.] Claudine reposted this on her FB page.
In the comment section of this post, Claudine’s fans expressed excitement also for this upcoming project. Some supporters of the Vice President also have positive feedback. “Excited na kami ate bagay sau Ang role,” a fan commented. No further details yet were shared about this project.
Meanwhile, Claudine Barretto was allegedly uninvited to her niece Claudia Barretto’s wedding. It was said that she asked her sister Marjorie Barretto to let her go to the wedding just to give her niece a gift but allegedly the older Barretto did not allow this to happen.
