BINI Mikha Shuts Down Language Critics W/ Grace and Positivity
BINI MIKHA – BINI’s Mikha Lim finally breaks her silence on the criticism surrounding her frequent use of English, explaining her reasons and urging fans to choose kindness over hate.
BINI member Mikha Lim recently addressed criticism from a netizen who questioned her frequent use of English when speaking publicly. The comment implied that Mikha, despite being fluent in Filipino, was pretending to be less comfortable with the language.
In response, Mikha took to social media platform X (formerly Twitter) to clarify the matter. “Hi! Thank you for saying this, a good opportunity for me to clear things up! I’ve said before a couple of times and to people who ask me about it that I can speak fluent tagalog, but there are times in a script or in front of the camera I get a little bulol.”

She explained that her tendency to overthink when choosing the right Tagalog words often causes her to default to speaking in English, especially in front of the camera. “I overthink the Tagalog words I should use. that’s why I end up choosing to speak in straight English most of the time in front of the camera. Have a good night!” she said.
Mikha emphasized that her intention in responding was not to add fuel to any negativity, but rather to clarify and encourage understanding. “Let’s stop all the hate guys, my response was not to fuel hate but to inform and clear things up for everyone. Please spread kindness and just educate,” she urged her followers.

The BINI member’s calm and thoughtful response has been well-received by fans who admire her grace under pressure. Her message is a reminder to foster compassion, especially on social media, where misunderstandings can quickly escalate.
In other news, Mikha and her fellow BINI members will appear in an upcoming episode of Maalaala Mo Kaya (MMK). The episode will feature the real-life story of BINI’s Sheena Catacutan, who will portray herself. Acclaimed actress Angelica Panganiban will return to television in the role of Sheena’s mother.
With BINI continuing to rise in popularity, Mikha’s handling of the situation shows the group’s commitment not only to their craft but also to being role models for positivity and understanding.
