Statement of Alyansa Para Sa Pagbago amid Marcos’ Order to Investigate Villar-Owned PrimeWater
ALYANSA – The campaign manager of the grand alliance clarified that Las Piñas Congresswoman Camille Villar is still part of the Senatorial slate of the Marcos admin.
In the 2025 Midterm Elections, several huge political parties in the Philippines merged and formed the Alyansa Para Sa Pagbabago. The campaign sorties of the grand alliance is led by President Bongbong Marcos.

Pres. Bongbong Marcos previously called the Alyansa bets his “dream team”. According to him, all the candidates backed by his administration have an experience in public service. House Speaker Martin Romualdez also campaigns for the bets of the Marcos administration.
Marcos Jr. previously said that he will be a lucky president if all the candidates of the grand alliance secure a seat in the Senate. Previously, his sister, Senator Imee Marcos, was part of the team.

However, Sen. Imee Marcos left the senatorial slate of the Marcos administration following the controversial arrest of former Pres. Rodrigo Roa Duterte. She claimed that she cannot accept what was done to the government.

Sen. Imee Marcos left the Alyansa endorsed by her brother, Pres. Bongbong Marcos. The grand alliance is left with 11 senatorial bets who are as follows:
- Interior Secretary Benhur Abalos
- Sen. Francis Tolentino
- Sen. Pia Cayetano
- former Sen. Manny Pacquiao
- Makati City Mayor Abby Binay
- Sen. Lito Lapid
- former Senator Panfilo Lacson
- Sen. Ramon ”Bong” Revilla Jr.
- Deputy Speaker Camille Villar
- former Senator Vicente Sotto III
- former Social Welfare and Development Secretary Erwin Tulfo
However, recently, Malacañang said that Pres. Bongbong Marcos ordered the investigation of the Villar-owned PrimeWater. It came after there are complaints of allegedly lack of sufficient supply of water.
Recently, amid the order to probe the PrimeWater, Alyansa Para Sa Pagbabago clarified that Las Piñas Congresswoman Camille Villar remains a senatorial bet of the Marcos administration.

”As for Las Piñas Representative Camille Villar, whose family owns PrimeWater, she is still part of Alyansa. We respect her track record in public service and trust that she, like all our candidates, supports efforts that promote transparency, accountability and the public good,” the campaign manager of the grand alliance, Toby Tiangco, said.
Based on the report, Tiangco expressed that Alyansa also supports the probe on PrimeWater. He stressed that clean and reliable water is a necessity of the people and any issue on the service of the provider must be reviewed “fairly with urgency”.
Aside from Marcos’ Alyansa, the daughter of Manny Villar, Camille Villar, is also endorsed by Vice Pres. Sara Duterte. She is attempting to switch positions with her mother, Sen. Cynthia Villar, who is seeking to win as Las Piñas City Representative.
