Jean Garcia Shares Her Journey of 10+ Years of Being Single

Jean Garcia Reveals She’s Chosen Singlehood for Over a Decade

JEAN GARCIA – Actress Jean Garcia shares her journey of over 10 years of being single, highlighting how she’s found peace and fulfillment in embracing her independence.

Veteran actress Jean Garcia has been single by her own choice for over 11 years and has found peace with this decision. During a recent appearance on Fast Talk with Boy Abunda on April 30, Jean opened up about her thoughts on being single, revealing that she has found fulfillment and happiness in this stage of her life.

Jean acknowledged that while being single might be seen by others as sad or undesirable, she has learned to embrace it. “Parang iniisip ko na lang sa sarili ko na mag-aalaga na lang ako ng mga apo ko, ng mga anak ko. Kung hindi ko rin lang mahahanap ‘yung talagang para sa akin, or baka napalampas ko na kasi, Kuya Boy. Kaya ginawa na lang ng Panginoon na makuntento ka na lang na mag-isa,” she shared, expressing acceptance of her current situation.

She further explained that she no longer seeks romantic love, as she feels fulfilled by the love of her family and the support from her fans. Jean believes her happiness comes from not taking life too seriously. “Because I don’t take life too seriously. ‘Yung sa akin kasi, bakit mo i-i-stress-in ang sarili mo? Kapag may problema, solusyunan mo unti-unti. Matatapos din ‘yan, ‘This too, shall pass.’ sabi nga nila. Palagi lang happy, kuntento. Contentment siguro,” she said, showcasing a grounded outlook on life.

Boy Abunda offered additional wisdom, stating, “’Pag ang problema walang solusyon, it’s not a problem.”

In a lighter moment, Boy jokingly asked Jean what she knows about men after being single for so long. Laughing, she responded playfully, “Mali ka yata ng tinanong, Kuya Boy, baka mawalan ako ng male viewers.” However, she quickly added that when men are serious, they tend to be kind and honest. She also emphasized that relationship challenges come down to personal choices. “Maaaring hindi ikaw ang problema, lalaki ang problema. By choice, e. So choice nila ‘yun. Magloko sila, magseryoso sila, choice nila ‘yun, hindi ‘yun kasalanan ng babae,” she said, acknowledging that one’s reaction is also a personal choice.
