A daughter warmed the hearts of many internet users when she surprised her father with a toy he had always dreamed of having as a child.
Recently, TikTok user Maye Grace Javier shared a touching video where she gave her father a Voltes V figure, a toy he had long wanted since he was young. The post elicited admirations from the online community.
Maye, who is from Mandaue City, shared that her father, Edison, had been a big fan of Voltes V ever since he was a little boy. Back then, he and his friends would wait eagerly for the show to air, often hoping a kind neighbor would invite them over to watch it.
Owning a Voltes V toy was something Edison had always wished for, but it was a dream that never came true during his childhood.
After working for nearly thirty years as a seafarer, Edison missed many special occasions, including Christmas celebrations with his family. So when he finally returned home to Cebu in January, Maye decided it was the perfect time to fulfill one of his childhood wishes.
Javier surprised him with the Voltes V figure he had wanted for so long. It reminded everyone that childhood dreams are never too old to come true, and small gestures can bring back big smiles.
