JK Labajo received a negative reaction from his half brother
Singer-actor JK Labajo shared his life story in a recent interview and some of what he said did not sit well with his half brother.
JK rose to fame after joining The Voice Kids. Although he was not the winner, he was given big opportunities in the entertainment industry.
Aside from being a singer, he also ventured into acting. In a recent interview on Kapamilya journalist’s Karen Davila’s YouTube channel, JK showed his other side as a musician and featured his own studio.
A part of interview featured the life story of JK Labajo, his parents, and his grandmother who raised him. The singer-actor shared that his mother left him to his lola but he understood this. JK said that his mother was too young at that time, and he understood that she still wanted to live her own life.
JK also recalled in the interview his effort to find his German father. To recall, during the pandemic, JK shared his journey to reach out to his father but he was blocked.
After that interview, Louie Stephan Reuyan shared a post on Facebook sharing his reaction to JK’s interview.
Stephan said that from Dec 2024 to January 2025, he was reaching out to JK to talk about the singer’s decision to transfer their mother’s remains without informing them.
JK’s half brother also stressed that their mom’s husband had the right to know. Stephan also said, “Don’t make it look like mama abandoned you. She loved us equaly as her sons.” He added that JK should let their mom rest happily and peacefully.
