Recently, the Facebook page “Hindi na ako iinom ba tayo,” shared a video asking vendors to leave the area near a church gate. Post quickly circuilated on social media and garnered varioius reactions from the online community.
In the video, the priest can be seen approaching vendors who were selling near the church entrance. The vendors tried to explain their side, but the priest stood firm and told them to leave.

According to what was heard in the video, the priest had already reminded them in the past that selling inside the church premises was not allowed. Despite the warning, some vendors continued to sell, which led to the incident.
Some people supported the priest, saying that a church is a sacred place and should be kept orderly and peaceful. They believed it’s not right to turn the church into a marketplace and pointed out that selling should only be done outside, not within church grounds.
Others, however, felt the situation could have been handled more calmly. They said the vendors could have been spoken to politely, especially since many of them may rely on their sales for daily income.
The incident has started a conversation about respecting sacred spaces while also showing understanding and compassion for people trying to earn a living. It also raised questions about how rules are enforced and whether there are better ways to balance order with kindness.
