Is Camille Villar Still Part of Alyansa Backed by Pres. Bongbong Marcos amid Viral Photos with VP Sara Duterte?
BONGBONG MARCOS – The Alyansa Para Sa Pagbabago led by the President spoke on the photo of Camille Villar with Vice President Sara Duterte.
Countless Filipinos were left confused when a collage photo of former Sen. Manny Villar, his daughter Camille Villar, and Vice Pres. Sara Duterte crossed the social media. It was posted by former presidential spokesman Harry Roque.
The confusion of countless people stems from the fact that Camille Villar, the outgoing representative of Las Piñas, is one of the senatorial bets of the Alyansa Para Sa Pagbabago led by Pres. Bongbong Marcos. Marcos called the Alyansa as his “dream team” in one of the campaign sorties of the grand alliance.
It is no secret to the public that Marcos and Duterte are really on opposing sides now most especially after the controversial arrest of former Pres. Rodrigo Roa Duterte. Amid the confusion of the public, the campaign manager of the Alyansa spoke on the issue about the viral photo of Villar and Duterte.
Based on a report on PhilStar, Alyansa Para Sa Pagbabago campaign manager Toby Tiangco clarified that the grand alliance backed by Pres. Bongbong Marcos remains intact. He stressed that the President personally hand-picked the candidates backed by the grand alliance.
“The Alyansa candidates were personally chosen by President Marcos because of their excellent capabilities and strong experience. The Alyansa candidates are part of the administration slate because they are committed to the vision we all share: Bagong Pilipinas,” the Alyansa campaign manager said.
Based on the report, Toby Tiangco further expressed that one of the goals of the Alyansa is to “build support around the shared platform” of the grand alliance and it is also their target for all of the senatorial bets of the grand alliance to win.
“They are capable, committed, and deserving of the trust and confidence of the Filipino people,” the Alyansa campaign manager said.
According to Tiangco, every endorsement that each candidate of the grand alliance receives is allegedly a proof of the agreement and support for the Bagong Pilipinas that Pres. Bongbong Marcos is promoting. He stressed that it is “what matters most”.
