Gas Stations to Implement Oil Price Rollback on Tuesday (April 15, 2025)
FUEL PRICE UPDATE – Several gas stations in the country are set implement an oil price rollback during the holy week.
Starting Tuesday, April 15, 2025, Filipino motorists will get a welcome break this Holy Week as fuel prices are set to go down. Major oil companies announced new price cuts for gasoline, diesel, and kerosene, marking the second week in a row of rollbacks.
Starting at 6:00 a.m., companies like Shell, Caltex, and Seaoil will slash their pump prices. Gasoline will go down by P3.60 per liter, diesel by P2.90, and kerosene by P3.30. Cleanfuel will apply the same reductions for gasoline and diesel at 8:01 a.m., but does not offer kerosene.

The looming round of price drops is largely due to international developments, particularly the growing tension in trade relations between the United States and China.
The steep tariffs by the U.S. on certain imports from China has triggered market uncertainty, pushing global oil prices down. Saudi Arabia’s decision to reduce the price of oil sold to Asian countries starting in May, and the increased output from oil-producing countries under OPEC contributed to the price adjustments.
Last week, fuel companies already trimmed prices slightly, gasoline by P0.10 centavos and kerosene by P0.50 while diesel prices remained unchanged. This week’s rollback is much bigger and is expected to give relief to drivers during the holiday.

With this adjustment, year-to-date changes now reflect a smaller net increase of 95 centavos per liter for gasoline and P1.55 for diesel. Kerosene, on the other hand, has now seen a net decrease of P2.90 per liter since the start of the year.
While other oil companies have yet to announce their price changes, more companies are expected to follow soon. For now, drivers can enjoy lower fuel costs just in time for their Holy Week travels.
