MARJORIE BARRETTO – Former actress Marjorie Barretto breaks her silence, revealing that Gene Padilla was never invited to her daughter Claudia’s wedding, contrary to what has been circulating online.

In the second installment of her interview with Ogie Diaz, actress and former public official Marjorie Barretto addressed the controversy involving Gene Padilla’s presence at her daughter Claudia Barretto’s wedding.

Marjorie explained that Gene, the brother of Dennis Padilla, was never invited to the ceremony. Her clarification came after Gene shared a Facebook post recounting his version of the events, including his early morning travel from Bulacan to Alabang to attend the wedding.

Marjorie responded by saying, “Wala namang nagsabing gawin mo ‘yon,” and emphasized that only their mother and Dennis had received invitations. She also expressed disappointment in Gene’s conduct during the event, particularly during a tense moment with Dennis.

Instead of diffusing the situation, Marjorie claimed that Gene added fuel to the fire by voicing complaints about Dennis not having a role in the ceremony as the bride’s father. “Gene, imbes na pinahinahon mo ‘yung kapatid mo, inano pa niya eh, finuel niya eh,” she said.

She went on to say that Gene contributed to the rising tension rather than helping to resolve it. According to her nieces and nephews, Gene appeared emotionally agitated and reportedly exclaimed, “’Si kuya walang role, walang ganyan!’” which only escalated the issue further.
