Just recently, a birthday party was held to celebrate Maricel’s 60th birthday. Her birthday was on February 25, and for whatever reason, the celebration took place just recently. It was a star-studded event as the biggest stars in Philippine showbiz joined the celebration.
However, a video of Maricel Soriano circulated online and received concerned comments regarding her health. It was because some videos showed that she was assisted by two people while she was walking towards her seat. Different speculations were aired online regarding the status of her health.

“Osteoarthritis or gout,” a netizen, who commented on the post shared by Showbiz Broadcast on Facebook, speculated about the reason for this, while another one said, “Baka naka heels or at the moment bini-vertigo.” On the other hand, many netizens expressed intriguing speculations regarding the reason for her inability to walk alone.
As of this writing, no one from the camp of the Diamond Star has spoken about this viral video.
Meanwhile, the last acting project that Maricel Soriano did was the Kapamilya primetime series Lavender Fields, in which she played the character of a woman who helped Jodi Sta Maria’s character to rise up again from the tragic life she had before.
