Vice Pres. Sara Duterte Ready To Answer Questions over Dad Rodrigo’s Arrest
SARA DUTERTE – The Vice President expressed her willingness to attend the probe of Sen. Imee Marcos and answer questions.
Former Pres. Rodrigo Roa Duterte is now under the custody of the International Criminal Court in The Hague, Netherlands. It was last March 11 when the Philippine National Police (PNP) arrested him upon his arrival in Manila from Hong Kong.

Duterte reportedly attended a thanksgiving event in Hong Kong. He was arrested at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) and was detained at the Villamor Air Base for several hours.
On the same day that he was arrested, Duterte was flown to The Hague via Dubai. Vice Pres. Sara Duterte immediately flew to the Netherlands for her father.

Vice Pres. Sara Duterte claimed that former Pres. Rodrigo Roa Duterte wants her to return to the Philippines immediately. According to her, she will just set the legal team of the former President and return to the country.
Back in the Philippines, Senator Imee Marcos opened a Senate investigation on the arrest of former Pres. Rodrigo Roa Duterte. According to her, she cannot accept what was done to the former President.

The cabinet officials and several government officials attended the first Senate inquiry on the arrest of Duterte. Vice Pres. Sara Duterte who was still in The Hague then attended the hearing via a video conference.
However, the cabinet officials skipped the second Senate inquiry on Duterte’s arrest. Malacañang claimed that Sen. Imee Marcos allegedly keeps repeating the same questions at the hearing.

Sen. Imee Marcos is set to conduct a third Senate hearing on the arrest of former Pres. Rodrigo Roa Duterte. Based on a report on GMA News, Vice Pres. Sara Duterte is ready to attend the future inquiries and answer questions over her father’s arrest.
“Pero kung meron namang future hearings na meron silang tanong sa akin, tulad ng kung anong nangyari sa Hong Kong or anong nangyari pagdating ni Pangulong Duterte sa Manila, willing naman po ako sumagot,” the Vice President said.
Previously, Senate Pres. Chiz Escudero said that the cabinet officials will attend the probe led by Sen. Imee Marcos on April 10.
