Market Caretaker Lost His Life Over Alleged Dispute w/ Helper
A market caretaker lost his life after being stabbed by a helper over alleged dispute in a market in Quezon City.
Recently, a 54-year-old caretaker lost his life after being stabbed multiple times by a helper. The victim was rushed to the hospital but was declared dead on arrival due to the severity of his injuries.
Reports indicate that he sustained more than thirteen stab wounds in different parts of his body.

Authorities quickly arrested the suspect, a 27-year-old market helper, who was caught in the act by a witness. The witness recalled hearing a loud scream and, upon checking, saw the suspect repeatedly stabbing the victim.
“Narinig na lang nitong ating witness na may isang malakas na pagsigaw at nu’ng kanyang tiningnan, nakita niya ang suspek na walang habas na pinagsasaksak itong ating biktima,” Batasan Police station commander Police Lieutenant Colonel Romil Avenido said.
The victim initially managed to grab one of the suspect’s knives, but he was unaware that the attacker had another weapon, which was used to continue the assault.
Investigators discovered that the two men had ongoing conflicts before the fatal attack. The victim reportedly confronted the suspect several times about tying his pet rooster near the victim’s stall.
The frequent dispute allegedly led to the suspect harboring resentment, ultimately resulting in the violent attack.
Eventually, it was discovered that the suspect had a criminal record. He had been released from jail just last year after serving time for cases related to frustrated murder and physical injuries. Now, he is facing a murder case.
Police recovered two bladed weapons from the crime scene, which were used in the attack. The suspect, now in custody at the Criminal Investigation and Detection Unit (CIDU) in Camp Karingal, refused to give any statement regarding the incident.
