Kris Aquino caught netizen’s attention with this intriguing post
A-list celebrity Kris Aquino shared a post mentioning her ex-boyfriend Dr. Mike Padlan and earned a reaction from the physician’s son.
Last year, it was confirmed that Kris and Dr. Mike were together. The latter was even with Kris during her flight back to the Philippines in September 2024 after two years of staying in the US for her medical treatments.
However, in February this year, Kris stated that she has no boyfriend and clearly she has no fiance which also debunked the speculations that she was getting married.
In a social media post on March 16, Kris Aquino caught the online community’s attention because of her statement about her ex-boyfriend. “He did not love me,” Kris declared about Dr. Mike.
The post came along with an update about her health. Once again, the Queen of all Media received love and support from her friends in the entertainment industry and her fans amid her health struggle.
A few days after that controversial post, netizens noticed that Kris edited it. She removed the fiery statement directed at her ex-boyfriend. Kris explained that she edited her post for the two children who became close to her.
Amid this issue, Dr. Mike was defended by his son Miguel Lorenzo Padlan. In a lengthy Facebook post, Miguel said that he decided to speak because he loves his father. Miguel also admitted that he was disheartened to see people altering the “truth.”
Then, Dr. Mike’s son said that the separation happened because the spark between the former couple was gone but definitely there was love between them.
“Sometimes, two people are simply not meant to be together in the long run, no matter how much they once loved each other,” Miguel said.
He also revealed that during the time when their father was with Kris, he and his sibling felt that they were neglected by their father because the latter would always go to the US to take care of Kris even though this affected the doctor’s financial status.
Miguel stressed that their father never asked Kris for anything, and never asked for money or gifts. He believes that their Mama Kris gave financial support or gifts to their father with the simple reason that it was out of kindness and generosity.
Despite what Kris has said about their father in her post, Miguel said that they still respect her. “All we ask is that she does not spread stories that are untrue,” Miguel said, adding that their father’s friends and patients can attest to his character.
Miguel also said that they love Kris Aquino and they love their father as well. “Family is family. That is why I am here to support my father and stand by my family,” the son of Dr. Mike Padlan said.
