Gabby Concepcion thought of entering the political arena but…
Seasoned actor Gabby Concepcion admitted that he once dreamed of being in politics but this did not happen.
Showbiz personalities crossing over to world politics is a common scenario in the Philippines. Right now, a lot of public servants are from the entertainment industry – actors, actresses, directors, and many more.
There was also a time when Gabby thought of being a public servant. He shared about this in a recent interview, based on the article in ABS-CBN Entertainment. In 1988, the actor ran for mayor in San Juan. However, he found no triumph in this political attempt.

Gabby Concepcion shared that there had been several instances when people would encourage him to run for a government position. However, until now, no one has convinced him. He does not support any politician as well.
Even though it was once his dream to be a politician, Gabby did not push through and it was because there was more importance for him.
“Politics was actually a dream once upon a time. Pero hindi ko tinuloy, because I didn’t find the urge. Many are still inviting me to run. But politics is very sensitive. Mas gusto ko ang tahimik na buhay,” the seasoned actor said.

In the same interview, the seasoned actor also mentioned that he never experienced what people call “mid-life crisis. He is now 60 years old. Gabby said that he wanted to experience this because he did not know the feeling of being in that kind of situation.
“Somebody needs to explain to me what a mid-life crisis is in a nutshell. I take things lightly. I always remember what my father told me. ‘Nandyan ka na lang din, galingan mo na.’ I’m not always successful, but I try,” he said.
Gabby Concepcion added that anything can happen to a person and life is short, so it is better to do your best while you have the time. Regretting someday about the things he did not do is not in his vocabulary. This is why he is avoiding things that can lead to bad happenings.
