Police Authorities Arrest Thief in Underwear for Robbing Korean National’s House
Authorities arrested the suspect at a port in Toledo, Cebu, for robbing a Korean national’s house in Lapu-Lapu City while wearing only underwear.
Theft is when someone takes another person’s belongings without permission and plans to keep them. It is a crime because it involves taking something that does not belong to them. People can steal money, jewelry, gadgets, or even simple things like food or clothes.
Recently, a man was caught on camera wearing only his underwear while committing a robbery in Lapu-Lapu City, Cebu, has been arrested by authorities at a port in Toledo. The suspect was attempting to board a ship bound for Negros when he was apprehended.

Last week, the suspect broke into a house in Barangay Maribago, owned by a Korean national. Surveillance footage showed him wearing only briefs and a facemask while carrying a vault out of the house.
According to Lapu-Lapu City Police P/Lt. Col. Christian Torres, the suspect intentionally wore minimal clothing to make it easier to move and escape if caught.

The stolen vault reportedly contained P2 million, but the suspect claimed it only had P50,000. Regardless of the amount, authorities pursued him and tracked his movements. His attempt to flee Cebu was cut short when police caught up with him at the port.

Aside from the main suspect, his cousin was also arrested. During the investigation, authorities discovered that the cousin was in possession of a firearm and ammunition, leading to his detention as well.
The incident quickly gained attention due to the suspect’s choice of clothing during the crime. Police continue their investigation to determine the full extent of the crime and whether there are other accomplices involved.
