PNP Speaks about Duterte’s Partner, Honeylet Avanceña, during the Arrest
DUTERTE’S PARTNER – The Philippine National Police (PNP) is planning to file complaint against Honeylet Avanceña for allegedly hitting a police officer with a cellphone.
Photos and video clips taken during the arrest and detention of former Pres. Rodrigo Roa Duterte circulated on social media. Two (2) family members of the former Chief Executive, his common-law wife Honeylet Avanceña and daughter Kitty Duterte, were spotted staying at his side defending him.

Duterte was even heard calming Honeylet Avanceña who tried to convince him not to go with the authorities citing that there was allegedly no warrant of arrest against him. The former President stayed at the Villamor Air Base for several hours.
His younger daughter, Kitty Duterte, tagged it as an “illegal detention” claiming the absence of a warrant of arrest against her father. On the same day, the authorities moved to get the former President to a flight bound to Dubai where they will have a lay over prior to the flight to the Netherlands.

Former Pres. Rodrigo Roa Duterte left the Philippines with former executive secretary Salvador Medialdea, a nurse, and his assistant for Dubai. It was confirmed that Duterte has arrived at The Hague and is set to stay at a prison facility awaiting the trial of the International Criminal Court.

Recently, the Philippine National Police held a press conference over the arrest of former Pres. Rodrigo Roa Duterte. Based on a post of ABS-CBN News, PNP spokesperson Brig. Gen. Jean Fajardo said the national police is planning to file a complaint against Honeylet Avanceña, Duterte’s partner.

Honeylet alleged hit a police officer with her cellphone during the turn of events. Based on another post, the action of Duterte’s partner caused a lump on the forehead of the police officer allegedly hit by a cellphone.

Furthermore, based on the post, the PNP is also mulling over charges of obstruction of justice against Salvador Medialdea for allegedly blocking Duterte’s arrest.
Fajardo also claimed that the police officers who were believed to be crying during the detention of former Pres. Duterte “were actually wiping their sweat”.
The Criminal Investigation and Detection Group or CIDG chief also claimed that Honeylet Avanceña allegedly refused to go with former Pres. Rodrigo Duterte which caused the delay of the flight.
