Rufa Mae Quinto received this information from a netizen
Comedienne Rufa Mae Quinto warned the public against a scammer using her name to deceive others.
Rufa went through a tough time late last year until early this year. News about her marital problem with her husband Trevor Magallanes started circulating, until the latter confirmed that they are no longer together. Last January, the comedienne said that there was no divorce filed yet.
Aside from the marital problem, Rufa was also entangled in an investment scam. She was accused of taking part in the Dermacare investment scam which also involved celebrity entrepreneur Neri Miranda whose cases have been dismissed by the Pasay City Regional Trial Court.

Rufa Mae Quinto strongly faced the cases filed against her. From the US, she immediately went to the National Bureau of Investigation to surrender. She stayed at the agency for a night and netizens have been expressing support for her while she was facing this issue.
With her innate comedic ability, netizens loved how she handled a difficult situation in her life as she had a lot of funny remarks during interviews. She got emotional after the hearing and she was able to go home that day.
After her name was dragged in an investment scam, Rufa Mae shared a recent post on X, formerly Twitter, saying that someone is using her name to scam other people. The comedienne shared a screenshot of a message from a netizen informing her that a certain Michael Tenorio is using her name in deceiving others.
According to the netizen, the scammer claimed that he and Rufa Mae have been friends for 15 years now. “Mag ingat kayo sa kanya using my name for scamming, Michael Tenorio, report kita sa NBI at PNP,” the comedienne wrote in the caption of her post.
