Shortly after the doctors told that Pope Francis is still not out of danger, the Sovereign Pontiff had a respiratory attack. It left him in a critical state and it also required the transfusion of two (2) counts of blood.

Meanwhile, in the after it, the clinical condition of the Pope continued to show improvements. According to Vatican on its latest update, the condition of the Pope showed more improvement but the doctors keep him on a “guarded” prognosis due to the complex picture of his status now.

Amid the hospitalization of Pope Francis, two officials of Vatican told Reuters that the Roman Pontiff had a clash with some of the Vatican department chiefs including senior cardinals three (3) days prior to his hospitalization.

Based on the report, the Pope ordered a creation of a new commission to encourage donations for Vatican to bridge the budget gap. However, some of the Vatican department chiefs are against it. They are not in favor of the budget cuts and they also don’t support the Pope’s idea of seeking outside funding to bridge the deficit.

Amid the stand of some cardinals, on Pope Francis’ 13th day of confinement in the hospital, the new “Commission on Donations for the Holy See” was announced by Vatican.
