“Masaya po kaming mag-asawa.”
Kaladkaren and her husband are still together.
KALADKAREN AND HUSBAND – The broadcaster finally sets the record straight regarding the rumors about her and her husband, Luke Wrightson.
Previously, people online were sent abuzz and worried after noticing some suspicious social media gestures from TV anchor KaladKaren. For one, the wedding photos from her social media page were wiped out, and in a Tiktok video, she lip-synched to a fan version of Ariana Grande’s “we can’t be friends”.
The lyrics were:
I saw it coming I still cried
I thought when you left you’d leave my mind
No I don’t wanna hate you but you chose your pride
When I needed a hug you held the knife
But I still wish we had more time
Must be crazy, right?
It ignited breakup speculations, and people were sad. To recall, the wedding of Kaladkaren and Luke Wrightson, her long-time partner, happened in 2024. It was held in North Yorkshire, England, at an 18th-century hotel overlooking Robin’s Hood Bay.
Recently, the broadcaster finally set the record straight.
“Ako pa rin po si Mrs. Jervi Wrightson.”
This was what she quipped during the closing of TV5 primetime newcast Frontline Pilipinas on February 28. She then denied the rumors circulating about them and went on to explain that rough patches are phases every couple must go through, but what matters most is that they always keep on choosing each other.
They encountered misunderstandings and challenges. Being away from each other makes things harder, and for 13 years, they have faced countless challenges.
“But for thirteen years, sinubok na po kami ng panahon at araw-araw pinipili po naming mahalin ang isa’t isa. So, kami pa rin po. We’re still together. Wala po kaming problema ni Luke. Masaya po kaming mag-asawa. Katunayan nga, umuwi siya ng Pilipinas, kakarating lang kaninang tanghali.”
She also explained that her TikTok video meant nothing, and as for the deleted wedding photos, it was he management’s doing since they are building her profile for her work.
“Yung mga napapanood natin online, mag-ingat po tayo sa fake news and let’s mind our own business,” she added.
