PAGASA Says Amihan and Easterlies to Affect PH Weather Condition
PAGASA LATEST UPDATE – The state weather bureau reported that amihan and easterlies will bring rains over parts of the country.
On Tuesday (February 25, 2025), the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical, and Astronomical Services Administration released the latest weather update in the country. The northeast monsoon and easterlies will affect the country’s weather conditions.
PAGASA weather specialist Chenel Dominguez reported thatthe Northeast Monsoon will bring cloudy skies with light rains over Luzon while the easterlies will affect Visayas and Mindanao.

The easterlies will bring cloudy skies with scattered rain showers and thunderstorms in Visayas, Northern Mindanao, Caraga, and Davao Region.
The northeast monsoon will bring cloudy skies with light rains over Cagayan Valley, Cordillera Administrative Region, Aurora, and Quezon.
The easterlies will bring partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated light rains over Metro Manila and the rest of Luzon. “For Metro Manila and the rest of Luzon, we can expect partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated light rains or drizzles,” Dominguez said.

Similar weather conditions are expected over the rest of Mindanao.
“For the rest of Mindanao, we expect generally fair weather or hot and humid conditions from noon to afternoon, with a high chance of brief rain showers due to localized thunderstorms, especially in the afternoon and evening,” she added.
The weather agency has advised the residents in the affected areas to take precautionary measures for possible flash floods or landslides due to moderate to heavy rains and severe thunderstorms.
“We advise our fellow citizens in these areas to take extra caution, also due to the rains in the previous days,” she explained.
Meanwhile, the coastal water condition over Northern Luzon will be rough to very rough. The Visayas, the rest of Luzon, and the northern and eastern sections of Mindanao will have moderate to rough waters.
Slight to moderate surrounding sea conditions are expected over the remaining parts of Mindanao, according to PAGASA.
