The new tattoo of Andi Eigenmann is dedicated to this person.
Following the issues, Siargao-based vlogger Andi Eigenmann got a new ink and this is what it means and to who it is dedicated to.
Last year, iconic actress Jaclyn Jose died and her unexpected death was caused by a myocardial infarction or heart attack. In a statement, her daughter Andi Eigenmann tearfully confirmed this and expressed that her legacy will live on through her works, children, grandchildren, and lives she had touched.
Recently, a year after she passed away, Andi honored her by having a symbol inked to her skin. The symbol is dedicated to her mother and in an Instagram post, Andi explained what it means.
She got a palm leaf permanently drawn on her arms honoring her mother. It has multiple meanings related to a lot of things in her life:
- for her strength that got her mother through a lot of life’s challenges and one of the many things admired in her
- for victory as growing up, she saw her constant efforts to refine her craft, strive for excellence, dedication, and passion
- for eternal life as she will forever live in her
In the same post, she expressed, “She won many accollades for this, and the first Asian Palm d’Or winner for Best Actress at the Cannes Film Festival so far, is just one of them. I’ll always cherish this moment, and the fact that she chose to share this with me.”
For a year now, she mourned and during this dark time, she was figuring out the best way she could honor the best person in her life. She came upon a realization that the best way to do this is to live her life, the best gift she received from her, with a good look about it and to treasure and cherish it continuously the best way she knows and the way she had always wanted her to.
She wrote towards the end of her post, “This journey of grief has been long and tough, and quite frankly, sometimes dark. But I believe that the love you showered me with should be enough to trust that I will again see the light.”
