Bianca Umali on Ruru Madrid’s Girl Best Friend: Jealous or Just Trusting
BIANCA UMALI – Kapuso actress Bianca Umali opens up about her thoughts on Ruru Madrid’s close friendship with a female best friend.
In an episode of Fast Talk with Boy Abunda on February 13, the “King of Talk,” Boy Abunda, revisited the topic of having a best friend of the opposite gender. One of his guests was Kapuso actress Bianca Umali, who was asked if she would allow her boyfriend, Ruru Madrid, to have a female best friend.
In response, Bianca shared that when she and Ruru started their relationship, he already had a close female best friend—fellow Kapuso actress Mikee Quintos.
“Tito Boy, when Ruru and I started our relationship, best friends po talaga sila mi Mikee (Quintos) so he does have a girl best friend and I was best friends also with a guy when our relationship started,” Bianca stated.
Because of this, they introduced each other to their closest friends to set clear boundaries in their relationship. For Bianca, transparency and openness are key to a strong relationship.
In the same interview, they also discussed the importance of setting boundaries between couples and their friends. According to Bianca, it is crucial for partners to be clear about the people close to them to avoid misunderstandings.
“Mahalagang nililinaw sa isa’t isa nu’ng mag-asawa kung sino ang mga kaibigan, ano ang mga nangyayari, to avoid this kind of situation. Mahalaga ang honesty at transparency at all times,” the actress emphasized.
She added that even though there may be painful truths that need to be discussed, being truthful with each other is necessary to prevent bigger problems.
“Even if masakit po ang sasabihin ninyo sa isa’t isa, as long as ang goal ay maging totoo kayo at walang tinatago, hindi po ‘yan magbubunga into something big,” Bianca said.
Bianca Umali’s statement highlights that trust and honesty are the foundations of her strong relationship with Ruru Madrid. For them, having a best friend of the opposite gender is not an issue as long as there is clear communication and mutual respect.
