Dia Mate wins new beauty pageant crown for the Philippines
Filipina Beauty Queen Dia Mate won the second Reina Hispanoamericana crown for the Philippines.
Dia has shown that she is not someone who would give up her dream that easily. In the world of pageantry, Dia first joined the national beauty pageant Binibining Pilipinas. Unfortunately, she did not win.
Last year, she joined the Miss Universe Philippines pageant and was chosen to represent the Philippines in the Reina Hispanoamericana 2025 competition that was held in Bolivia.
The pageant night was held on the morning of Feb 10 (PH time) and Dia Mate did a great job in representing her country. During the swimsuit competition, she displayed an oozing appeal, especially when she sang the song for that segment.
Dia was also mesmerizing when she went out on stage to showcase her glowing gown. The Pinay beauty queen also gave an impressive answer during the Q and A portion.
Overall, her performance during the pageant night led to her victory as she was hailed as the Reina Hispanoamericana 2025. Dia was jumping with joy when her name was called.
With this, she is the second RH winner from the Philippines. The first one was actress Winwyn Marquez back in 2017. It was also the first time for the Philippines to send a representative to the said beauty pageant.
Many Pinoy pageant fans congratulated Dia and celebrated her win. “That’s because she was too good! This is her destiny. Congratulations FILIPINAS! Maraming Salamat @diaxmate! We were well represented. MABUHAY,” a fan commented.
Prior to her flight to Bolivia, Dia Mate shared that she was able to meet Winwyn Marquez. She shared that the most important thing Winwyn told her was not to be intimated by the Latinas. Representatives from the Latin countries are also fierce in pageants. They are among the strongest contenders in this field.
Winwyn also Dia to focus on herself and own her journey. Somehow that advice from the first Pinay RH winner helped Dia Mate.
