A loving daughter shared a heartwarming video of her 52-year-old father rehearsing for her wedding dance.
Recently, Charmane Anne Dela Cruz-Martinez, a TikTok user, shared a heartwarming moment between her and her father during their wedding dance rehearsal. The post garnered various reactions from the online community.
Martinez, a bride from Las Piñas City, shared a clip showing her father tearfully expressing how much he will miss her as they practiced their special dance for her wedding. The video touches many hearts, especially those who share a close bond with their parents.
According to Charmane, it was the first time she had ever seen her father cry. He had always been cheerful and full of energy, so watching him get emotional was unexpected. She admitted that the realization of leaving home after 28 years made her feel a mix of emotions.
“It was heavy, to be honest. I even told him, ‘Ano, Pa, itutuloy pa ba ang kasal?’ kasi nalungkot talaga ako. After almost 28 years, mahihiwalay ako sa kanila at hindi na palaging uuwi sa bahay,” Martinez said.
The bride even joked with her father, asking if they should still go through with the wedding because of how sad he looked.

Growing up, Charmane has always been a “daddy’s girl.” Her father was always there for her, driving her to and from places whenever he could. Even now, if he is available, he still makes time to do so.
They have shared countless conversations and memories, including bonding over their love for dogs.
Looking back at their dance rehearsal, she now understands why he was acting a bit differently that day.
“Noong hindi pa ako kasal, hatid-sundo niya ako most of the time. Until now kapag available siya, he still does. Nagkukwentuhan kami lagi and bonding with our dogs,” she recalled.
