Mother & Child Reportedly Died Due to Suspected Insecticide Poisoning in Cebu
A mother and her three-year-old child San Fernando, Cebu was dead after suspected poisoning from insecticide.
Insecticides are helpful for getting rid of pests, but they can be dangerous if accidentally swallowed, inhaled, or absorbed through the skin. Poisoning can happen in different ways, such as eating food contaminated with insecticides, breathing in fumes from sprays, or touching surfaces where the chemicals were applied.

Recently, two victims who had been living in a makeshift tent when they were discovered lifeless. The two reportedly died due to insecticide poisoning, According to reports, the mother was found unresponsive inside the tent, which was set up among trees in Barangay Balud.
Her young child was found lying on her back. The child was rushed to the hospital but was declared dead on arrival.
Authorities suspect that the cause of death was poisoning after a sachet of insecticide was discovered near their shelter. The police have recommended an autopsy to confirm the actual cause of death.
Investigators have also invited the woman’s former live-in partner for questioning. It was revealed that the mother and child had been forced to live in a tent after the man allegedly caused trouble for the family that had previously taken them in.
Authorities are now looking into the circumstances surrounding their deaths to determine if foul play was involved or if it was an unfortunate accident.
