Anthony Jennings and Jam Villanueva’s breakup was so controversial
Newbie endorser Jam Villanueva, the ex-girlfriend of Kapamilya actor Anthony Jennings, admitted that she had therapy after their breakup.
Before Anthony entered the entertainment industry, he already had a non-showbiz girlfriend. He and Jam were together for seven years. When his accidental pairing with Maris Racal in the series Can’t Buy Me Love became a hit, his fans knew that he and the actress were just onscreen partners.
It was because fans knew about his non-showbiz girlfriend and at that time Maris was still with singer-songwriter Rico Blanco.
After Maris confirmed her breakup with Rico, rumors surfaced linking her to Anthony. Eventually, Jam took an explosive step when she revealed to the public the intimate conversation that Maris and Anthony had while she was still with the actor.
Almost a month after that controversy, Jam Villanueva had her first public appearance as the new endorser of a dental essential company. During the media launch, Jam was asked about the controversy that she went through.
She talked about forgiveness during the interview. Jam said that she is still in the process of forgiving but she said that she no longer has a connection to the people involved in the issue.
In the same interview, based on the article in GMA Entertainment, Jam admitted that she had to seek professional help while dealing with this chapter in her life.
“Nag-therapy talaga ako for a few months, yun po talaga ang nakatulong sa akin kasi may heart problem din ako,” the newbie endorser shared.
She also shared that she had to handle stress carefully because she had open-heart surgery when she was just six years old. Jam repeated the reason why she was pushed to speak about Anthony and Maris.
It was because of the bashing and negative comments she received online. “Siguro na-push lang din talaga ako kasi ang daming nangyari. I’m just a normal person, so I don’t have anyone to defend me. Ang hirap din po kasi parang you’re constantly judged by the people,” she said.
Her family being dragged into this was a factor in her outburst. She and her brother lost their parents years ago and she felt disrespected that her family was dragged into the issue. Jam added that she and her brother received harsh messages from bashers.
