Queen Of Philippine Soap Opera Judy Ann Santos paid tribute to the Queen Of Philippine Cinema Gloria Romero who passed away at 91.
Gloria Romero died on January 25, 2025, at the age of 91 which brought sadness to the entire movie industry. As the Queen Of Philippine Cinema, she has left a big body of work and through her movies, the industry was shaped. With her career spanning over seven decades, she surely made so much that made her presence a remarkable and significant one.

In a Facebook post, her daughter Maritess Gutierrez announced that the public viewing of Romero’s body will be held on January 27 and 28, Monday and Tuesday, from 9 AM to 1 PM. This will held at Hall A of Arlington Memorial Chapel, Araneta Avenue in Quezon City.
As the news about Romero’s demise circulated online, one of those who were fortunate enough to have the opportunity to work with her, Judy Ann Santos, paid tribute.
In an Instagram post, the Queen Of Philippine Soap Opera expressed her sadness over the passing of the legendary actress. She thanked the late actress for the beautiful memories and how her hugs, endearing touches, and gestures she made whenever she was laughing would forever be etched in her memories.
She added, “Our industry will forever be grateful to you.”

Meanwhile, in a previous article, close people to Romero shared her final moments. According to designated family spokesperson Butch Francisco, her health has greatly deteriorated last year.
She was in and out of the hospital and on New Year’s Eve, she was rushed to the hospital as she was suffering from pain and refusing to eat. She spent three weeks in the hospital.
