Pinoy Animator Shares Generosity of His Korean Classmate During Their Highschool Days
A Pinoy animator shared a heartwarming story about his generous Korean classmate, “binigyan nya akong maraming lapis.”
Recently, Gelonimation, a Facebook user, shared a touching memory of a kind gesture from a Korean classmate during their high school days. The post garnered various reactions from the netizens.
Back in high school, the animator recalled being fascinated by their Korean classmate’s collection of pens and pencils. The artist was impressed by the variety of pencil styles their classmate owned, especially since their own supplies at the time were limited to basic yellow Mongol pencils or a common green one.
One day, after returning from Korea, a classmate surprised Gelonimation with a pack of pencils. The thoughtful gift brought immense joy to the aspiring artist, who was excited to use the high-quality pencils for drawing projects.
However, as time went by, those pencils were barely used. The animator explained that they eventually shifted from traditional paper drawings to creating digital art. Despite not using them much, the gift left a lasting impression, showing the generosity of their high school classmate.
The Korean student’s simple yet meaningful gesture reminds us how little things, like sharing school supplies, can leave a lasting mark on someone’s life.

“May koreano akong kaklase noong highschool tapos binigyan nya akong maraming lapis.
